Councillor Bryan Davis
Ashtead Park

Bryan was elected a Conservative Councillor for Ashtead in 2006. He was born in 1943 in South Wales and graduated from the University of Wales with a First Degree in Metallurgy, but later studied engineering, business studies, economics and scientific research.
His qualifications include an MSc, PhD and MBA plus further qualifications in certain aspects of law.
Bryan has lived in Ashtead for 25 years and is married with two children. His hobbies included walking and gardening and sports interests include sub-aqua diving and badminton. He is dedicated to conserving the culture and environment of Mole Valley; particularly the greenbelt and well-developed housing/infrastructure for future generations.
He is much travelled including four years spent in the USA. Bryan is also an exam invigilator, will-writer and coach to A-level science.

Councillor Chris Hunt
Ashtead Village
Chris Hunt has lived in Ashtead Village Ward since 1996 and works as a Chartered Surveyor. He was first elected as a Conservative Councillor in 2003. Chris is the Chairman of the Development Control Committee and he also sits on the Policy Committee as well as representing the Council on the Local Authorities M25 Consortium. He regularly meets with Chris Grayling, Ashtead's MP, his County Councillor, Tim Ashton, and with MEP’s as well as other District and County Councillors. Chris takes a keen interest in trying to improve Ashtead whilst preserving the character of the village and is particularly committed to consulting any residents over matters that may affect them.
Outside of the Council, Chris is a director running a firm of general practice chartered surveyors, which specialises in Compulsory Purchase and Compensation work, and he has given evidence to both the Lands Tribunal and the Leasehold Valuation Tribunal which has proved successful in his favour.
Chris is also a Church-appointed Foundation Governor at St. Giles (CoE) Aided Infants School in Ashtead.
On the domestic front, Chris is married to a former Dorking primary school teacher and they have three young children, two of whom attend Ashtead schools whilst their youngest is at the age of emptying cupboards and finding new uses for Council agendas!
Chris is the Deputy Leader of Mole Valley District Council. He is also the Portfolio Holder for Strategic Planning.

Councillor Chris Reynolds
Ashtead Village
Chris was born in 1953 and has been married to Fiona since 1986. They have two children, Nicholas, born 1990, who attended Therfield before going to Staffordshire University and Flora born 1994 who attended The Greville in Ashtead before moving to Rosebery in Epsom.
Chris has known Ashtead all his life and has lived in Lorain Gardens since 1997. He attended the City of London Freeman's School, leaving in 1970 and spent the first six years of his working life in Ashtead with a local firm of solicitors. He has been involved in the advertising and exhibition industry for over 28 years.
Chris is Chairman of Ashtead Conservatives, President of the Old Freemen's Cricket Club (who are merged with Headley Cricket Club for Surrey Downs League Saturday Fixtures), a Vice President of the Old Freemen's Association and an active member of the National Trust for a number of years. He has been a Trustee of Ashtead Peace Memorial Halls and was a school governor at St Peter's Catholic School in Leatherhead for a number of years. He is also a member of the Marylebone Cricket Club and has a wide range of spare time interests.
Chris is committed to preserving the village environment in Ashtead and to helping all residents whatever their political affiliation.

Councillor Sylvia Sharland
Ashtead Village
Sylvia was elected a Conservative Councillor for Ashtead Village in 2006. She is married and has a grown up family. She was educated at Rochester Grammar School and the Medway College of Technology.
Apart from the time she spent raising her family Sylvia has spent most of her working life in accounts departments, taking early retirement in 1999 from ERA Technology in Leatherhead where she had been employed for 10 years.
In the past Sylvia has served as:

Fundraiser for the NSPCC Surrey Young Witness Service.She is a serving member of the Leatherhead Festival Committee as well as the Chairman of Ashtead/Leatherhead Area Forum.
