I passed my theory driving test in Spanish
I came to the United Kingdom three years ago. I was eighteen at the time. Three weeks after my arrival, I got a job in a restaurant. But I really needed more money so I was still sending CVs to various companies. My English was not very good at that time, it was actually on the elementary level. But my sister, who had been living in the UK for years, helped me a lot. Most companies required a driving licence, but I was worried that I wouldn"t be able to pass my theory driving test. I knew the traffic rules by heart because my grandpa had taught me to drive where I was a boy and I had also cycled through the city a lot when we still lived in Spain. But I was afraid I wouldn"t be able to understand the questions. Fortunately, my sister started looking for some information. Soon she found out that the theory driving test is also available in other languages. Spanish was included in the list. She booked the test for me and I revised the traffic rules for two weeks. Then the day of my test came. It was actually not that difficult. And I could listen to the text in Spanish in my headphones. I could replay the recording as many times as I wished. Of course I passed my theory driving test as well as practical driving exam. Soon I got a new job and got a better salary. And I started learning English, so I can speak it really well today.
