Fetcham West
Councillor Emile Aboud
Emile elected as Conservative Councillor for Fetcham West in May 2004. He was born in Sierra Leone, West Africa in 1939 and came to England in 1952. He moved to Fetcham in 1981 and has lived in the same house ever since.
He worked for the Medical Research Council from 1967 and is now retired.
Emile's hobbies include stamp collecting, gardening and Latin American dancing (which he says he loves!) and he is about to take up cookery. He is also keen to maintain the privileged area in which he lives.
He is married to Terry who works as a volunteer for both the Macmillan Cancer Support Center at Epsom Hospital as well as the Brigitte Trust based in Dorking. He has two grown up children, both of whom attended Eastwick Infant & Primary School and Howard of Effingham Secondary School. He is also a school governor of West Hill School.

Councillor Tim Hall
Tim was the Leader of the Council up until 2008. Educated at both Fetcham schools and Therfield and with a History Degree from the University of Ulster, Tim is now the longest serving Governor of Ofsted commended Fetcham Village Infants School and the former Chairman of its Finance Woking Party.
Tim was Chairman of the Council's Housing & Community Services Committee for three years and launched the highly successful "Dial A Ride" scheme in 1994. Now Vice-Chairman of the Policy Committee, he also represents the Council on the South East England Regional Assembly dealing with strategic planning, transport and economic development across the region.
Since University he has worked for Surrey County Council in County Hall, Esso Petroleum at their headquarters in Ashtead and was for six years Agent to Mole Valley's MP's Kenneth Baker and subsequently Sir Paul Beresford before taking the post as Secretary and Agent to Kingston & Surbiton Conservatives. He has recently moved to the Greater London Assembly where he is a researcher for an Assembly Member.
A past Steward of Leatherhead Methodist Church, Tim now attends Fetcham Community Church. He is also a member of Fetcham Residents Association, the Civic Trust, National Trust, Leatherhead & District Countryside Protection Society and Leatherhead Local History Society. He is also a governor of Fetcham Village Infants.
