Councillor Rosemary Dickson

Rosemary Dickson has been the Conservative Councillor for Leatherhead South since 1995. She is married with two grown up sons. She currently sits on the Development Control (Planning) Committee, the Licensing Committee and is Vice-Chairman of the External Scrutiny Committee. She also sits on the Local Committee (Highways) which is a joint committee with Surrey County Council.
She formed the Theatre Revival Group and was involved in the first Leatherhead Drama Festival.
Twice a month Rosemary sits with the MP at his surgeries in Leatherhead and Dorking and once a month holds a Conservative Councillors’ surgery at the Help Shop where anyone can come in for advice. She is very involved in the community and all aspects of the town's developments and can be found in the town almost daily.
When not immersed in politics she has several hobbies and is a member of various organisations including the National Trust and Compassion in World Farming.

Councillor David Sharland
David is a retired chemist who worked in the pharmaceutical industry. During this time he had amongst his responsibilities the manufacture and packaging of products used in clinical trials. Later he had Quality Assurance responsibilities. David has been married to Councillor Sylvia Sharland for over 45 years and they have a grown up family.
He has been the Conservative Councillor for the Leatherhead South Ward since 1998. He was previously a Conservative Councillor for the Ashtead Park Ward from 1982 to 1986, He has held many positions in the community including:-
Parent Governor for Greville First and Middle School
Governor of West Ashtead First and Middle School
Governor of Barnett Wood Lane First School
Chairman of both Ashtead and Leatherhead Conservatives.
Member of the Board of Drug Problem Helpline.
David is currently the Portfolio Holder for Health Safety and Wellbeing and sits on the following Council Committees and Outside Organisations.
