Councillor Malcolm Johnson
Leith Hill
Malcolm was elected as Conservative Councillor for Leith Hill in 2007. He was born and brought up in Mole Valley and he lives with his wife, Judith at Old Dene on Ranmore, near Polesden Lacey. Malcolm is a solicitor and he runs his own practice, Malcolm Johnson & Co. in Surbiton, specialising in compensation claims made by children and vulnerable persons.
Malcolm was educated at Mickleham Primary and Downsend Preparatory School before going on to Lancing College and Leeds University. He has been an active member of the Conservative Party since 2002, during which time he developed a particular interest in planning issues. He has also been a school governor for four years and he understands the many challenges that face our schools today.
He has ridden across most of Leith Hill Ward as a child. Nowadays he can regularly be seen running alongside his wife and her horse on Ranmore Common. A good way to keep fit!
Recently Malcolm has been involved in the discussions that are taking place about the use of Byways open to all Traffic in Leith Hill. He is also lobbying hard to get our roads and byways improved by Surrey County Council.
He is also the Communications Officer for the Conservative Group.
